Painting: The Art of the Portrait
Description
Portraits are more than faces—they're stories told in shape, color, and emotion. In this hands-on painting class, high school artists will dive into the process of building expressive, layered portraits from the ground up. Learn how to capture realistic proportions, mix skin tones, and bring depth and personality to your work through color, contrast, and detail.
Whether you're painting yourself, a friend, or an imagined face, you'll explore what it means to reveal identity through art—one layer at a time. Come as you are, and leave with the skills (and confidence) to paint portraits that truly speak.
