Beyond the Basics: Advanced Wheel Work

Take your wheel throwing skills to the next level in this advanced ceramics course designed for experienced students ready to refine their technique and explore more complex forms. This class will dive into larger-scale throwing, lidded vessels, altered forms, sets, and composite pieces, with an emphasis on design, precision, and intention.

Students will work through advanced challenges on the wheel, receive individualized feedback, and have the opportunity to experiment with surface treatments, trimming styles, and glazing approaches that elevate their finished work. The course encourages creative problem-solving and developing a personal style while maintaining strong craftsmanship.

This class is best suited for students who are confident in centering clay and throwing basic forms, and who are eager to deepen their practice in a focused, studio-style environment.
