Slab Dinnerware: Plates and Bowls

In this 6-week class, adults will learn how to design and construct functional plates and bowls using slab-building techniques. You’ll explore shaping, draping, and refining forms, as well as creating cohesive sets through thoughtful design and surface decoration. The class emphasizes craftsmanship, consistency, and developing your own style within a dinnerware series. No prior experience with slab work is required, though some ceramics experience is helpful.
