Ceramics: Functional but Unusual

In this handbuilding-focused class for adults, you’ll learn to create functional ceramic pieces with imaginative twists. Through techniques such as slab building, pinching, and coil construction, you’ll explore how to push form, texture, and design beyond the ordinary while still keeping your work useful. Students will experiment with playful shapes, unexpected details, and creative problem-solving as they develop their own distinctive style. This class is perfect for anyone who wants to make ceramics that are both practical and delightfully unconventional.
