One Shot Project: Ceramics: Japanese Lantern

In this relaxing one-night class, students will create a simple Japanese-style lantern using handbuilding techniques in clay. We’ll guide you through forming the structure, cutting openings for light, and adding your own decorative details to make each lantern unique.

At the end of class, students will select a glaze for their piece, which will be finished and fired for later pickup. This workshop is beginner-friendly and a great way to explore clay while making a beautiful, functional lantern for your home or garden.
