K-2nd Summer Camp: Clay and Sculpture: Animals, Bugs, and Nature
Description
Get ready to squish, roll, pinch, and sculpt! Students will create a variety of animal and nature-inspired artworks using clay and other 3D materials, from tiny insects and woodland creatures to ocean animals and imaginative garden sculptures. Young artists will explore texture, shape, and building techniques while bringing their favorite creatures to life in three dimensions.
Our young artists will:
-
Create silly bugs and insects using 3D materials
-
Sculpt favorite animals (pets included!) with clay and paper mache
-
Build spatial awareness through hands-on construction
-
Design nature-inspired dioramas
-
Observe animal characteristics to inspire realistic and imaginative creations
The week concludes with a special exhibition for families on Friday from 12:00–12:30pm at the EAC, where students’ creations will be on display.
