K-2nd Summer Camp: All the Arts: Color Lab
Description
Dive headfirst into a world of bold pigments, glowing hues, splattered masterpieces, and hands-on color discovery. In Color Lab, campers will mix, splash, build, glow, and create in ways that engage their whole bodies and ignite their imagination. Young artists will discover warm and cool colors, color relationships, and surprising effects through projects like tie-dye, resist painting, marbling, and more. This camp encourages curiosity, creativity, and playful experimentation with color.
Our young artists will:
-
Experiment with vibrant color across a variety of artistic media and surfaces
• Create bold 2D and imaginative 3D artworks bursting with rich, expressive color
• Discover foundational color theory through playful, hands-on exploration
• Throw, splash, and spray paint outdoors to design a collaborative large-scale splatter masterpiece
• Dive into sensory art experiences that reveal surprising color mixing, layering, and relationships
The week concludes with a special exhibition for families on Friday from 12:00–12:30pm at the EAC, where students’ creations will be on display.
