K-2nd Summer Camp: Clay and Sculpture: Monsters and Magical Worlds
Description
Students will imagine and create whimsical monsters, magical creatures, and fantasy environments using clay and mixed sculptural materials. This playful camp encourages creativity, humor, and storytelling as young artists build imaginative characters and worlds in three dimensions while exploring texture and construction techniques.
Our young artists will:
-
Play with clay and glaze to sculpt fantasy creatures and monsters
-
Use imaginative prompts to create magical habitats and environments
-
Experiment with texture and surface decoration
-
Use paper mache to build sculptural creatures they can put on display or use as puppets
-
Develop storytelling skills through 3D art
The week concludes with a special exhibition for families on Friday from 12:00–12:30pm at the EAC, where students’ creations will be on display.
