K-2nd Summer Camp: Messy Science Lab: Nature and Discovery Studio
Description
Young artists will explore the natural world through creative experimentation as they use leaves, flowers, textures, and outdoor inspiration to create art that blends science and discovery. This camp encourages curiosity, observation, and hands-on exploration through nature-based art processes.
Our young artists will:
-
Create their own natural pigments from safe, outdoor plants and paint with them
-
Explore observational drawing inspired by plants and insects
-
Use sunlight to create simple photographic processes
-
Build habitat dioramas for their favorite bugs or animals
-
Discover how nature can inspire artistic experimentation
The week concludes with a special exhibition for families on Friday from 12:00–12:30pm at the EAC, where students’ creations will be on display.
