3rd-5th Summer Camp: All the Arts: Color Lab
Description
Dive into a week of bold, vibrant experimentation as students explore the expressive power of color across multiple media! From painting and printmaking to sculpture and mixed media, artists will mix, layer, and manipulate pigment to see how color can transform a project. This camp encourages curiosity, playful risk-taking, and personal expression while building a deeper understanding of color relationships and artistic impact.
Our artists will:
-
Experiment with color across painting, printmaking, sculpture, and mixed media, discovering surprising combinations and effects
-
Create 2D and 3D artworks that burst with vibrant, expressive color
-
Explore foundational and advanced color theory concepts through hands-on projects
-
Develop personal approaches to using color to convey mood, energy, and creativity
-
Engage in sensory, experimental, and playful color processes that reveal how color can transform art
The week concludes with a special exhibition for families on Friday from 3:00-3:30pm at the EAC, where students’ creations will be on display.
