3rd-5th Summer Camp: STEAM Lab: Art Experiments
Description
This immersive camp blends science, technology, engineering, art, and experimentation through creative processes that produce surprising and dynamic results. Students will explore chemical reactions, physics-based art techniques, and innovative materials while discovering how scientific thinking can inspire artistic expression and problem solving.
Our artists will:
-
Create abstract art by exploring chemical reactions
-
Build machines that create different art with variables in paint viscosity and spin force
-
Use 3V motors and markers to create “Scribble Bots”
-
Engineer and design architectural builds with cardboard and other mixed media
-
Embrace experimentation as part of artistic growth
The week concludes with a special exhibition for families on Friday from 3:00-3:30pm at the EAC, where students’ creations will be on display.
