5th-8th Grade - Mixed Media: Puppet Making

In this class, students will design and build their own expressive, one-of-a-kind puppets using a variety of materials such as fabric, papier-mâché, clay, and found objects. Over the course of the class, students will explore character development, construction techniques, and ways to create movement and personality in their puppets. They’ll experiment with texture, color, and storytelling while bringing their characters to life. This class blends visual art and performance, encouraging creativity, problem-solving, and imaginative play.
