Adults - Painting: Oil Painting Fundamentals

This class introduces the fundamental techniques of oil painting, including color mixing, brush handling, grisaille, glazing and working with value and form.  Students will learn how to build a painting from underpainting to finished surface, with attention to composition and surface control. Beginners will gain a strong foundation in materials and process, while experienced painters can strengthen technique and deepen their practice. Emphasis is placed on developing confidence, patience with the medium, and personal expression.
